Theophilus and Cyrillus craters
Theophilus(100km)isacraterthatliesbetween SinusAsperitatis onthe northandGreatNectaris onsouth-east.Theophilus overlaps withCyrilluscrater(98 km)south-west,bothbeingcomparablein size.To the eastisasmallercrater,Mädler(south-eastin thephoto)andfurthersouth-south-eastis Beaumont.Theophilus was namedaftertheGreek philosopherTheophilusofAlexandriawho livedinthe 4th century. Theophilusshowsacentralmountain,1400metershigh,withfourpeaks. Below is the Est surface of the Moon to help localize the craters
