        Mare Crisium (the "Sea of Depression") is located in the Crisium basin, north-east of Mare Tranquillitatis. It dates from pre-Imbrian period, 4.55 - 3.85 billion years ago. This Mare has a size of 555 km (345 miles) in diameter . It has a very flat floor, with a ring of wrinkles on its external borders. Craters that were largely buried under deposits of other materials, lies on south.
