These are the most beautiful November's amateur astronomers images chose from my friends on Facebook.
Jupiter and Ganymede. Credit: Simon Kidd of Welwyn, Herts
Simon Kidd of Welwyn, Herts, took this superb picture on 28 November 2012 of Jupiter's moon Ganymede casting its shadow onto the planet (left-hand image). You can see considerable detail on the moon, which ties in well with the simulated image based on spacecraft images at right.
Simon was unable to take a full colour image of Jupiter on this occasion because of cloud, but got enough images for the monochrome view of Ganymede. National Astronomy Week
