Our Moon is not what you think it is

For a long time, people had many questions about the Moon, and some of them are about the luminance of it's surface. It was believed that the Moon is a mirror and the black spots reflects Earth's oceans. This of course is not true, but apparently I am not the only one to wonder if the Moon is made of glass or something else.

I think that the Moon has a strange soil, and the sunlight is reflecting stronger than if it were made of common stone. I felt that since I shot the Full Moon, but did not know why it looks so different from what I know, after I dropped gamma of the video.

Among the substances that compose the lunar soil, it contains silica, which is the primary component of sand, glass, and concrete.
The lunar material have bizarre properties because it contains glass bubbles filled with nanoparticles. Nanoparticles are released when micrometeors are crushing the glass.

A few articles ago, I was wondering if somehow the Moon is not made of glass. To my astonishment, I found an article from QUT, that the lunar soil really contains a layer of glass and nanoparticles on it's surface, which makes me understand why in my videos through the telescope of the Moon in full light of the Sun in 2010, the Moon soil seem transparent as glass, translucent, as you would see through it, and with colours (captures of the video are below).

Marek Zbik, a scientist from Queensland University of Technology, found nanoparticles in glass bubbles of the lunar soil, which could solve the mystery of why the soil of the surface has many strange properties. Scientists have long noticed strange behavior of the lunar material, but have not realized the nano and submicron particles found in it, and their source was unknown.

 Zbik said:
"Instead of gas or vapour inside the bubbles, which we would expect to find in such bubbles on Earth, the lunar glass bubbles were filled with a highly porous network of alien-looking glassy particles that span the bubbles' interior."
"It appears that the nano particles are formed inside bubbles of molten rocks when meteorites hit the lunar surface. Then they are released when the glass bubbles are pulverised by the consequent bombardment of meteorites on the moon's surface.
"This continuous pulverising of rocks on the lunar surface and constant mixing develop a type of soil which is unknown on Earth."

Zbik studied the glass bubbles without breaking them, using a new technique to study nano materials, called synchrotron-based nano tomography, to look at the particles. This technology through the microscope (Transmission X-ray Microscope (TXM), allows 3D images of nanoparticles. Example is the video below.

About the images below: The bright white regions in the images below, are the mountains, the Moon's highlands. I think the material of lunar soil in mountainous areas, is different than the dark areas, which are seas of lava. It is clear that the dark parts are molten lava seas that rose from within the Moon, just as water increases in a pot where you put a hose at the bottom. The highlands could not be flooded and remained on the surface.

Scientists who analyzed the Moon materials brought to Earth by astronauts, found that 50 percent of the soil is made of glass.
I wonder if the seas (mare) on the Moon would melt again, how deep would they be? And I also wonder: if those seas were not filled with lava, would the Moon have been round?

The images below are taken from the video I made in 2010. They are unique in my  DVDs 'library'.

Fusion reactors on the Moon..Really?

There is a fantasmagonical evidence that ancient pyramids exists on the Moon, spread over its surface, and that were built to create a network of solar collectors. Other sources say that complex craters that infact are domes, are now operational and are generating power, reactors in which can exist huge fusion reactors of helium-3.
Observations made by probes which photographed the areas indicated by the conspirators, showed that these are no 'bump' craters like domes, but are really deep craters. Observations from Earth telescopes also indicates the same thing, that these are craters and nothing more. Optical illusion occurs when an image is turned upside down, when the heights become depths, and viceversa.

Although I do not consider the idea of helium-3 reactors true, I will give some ideas for the conspirators, to enjoy it more: guess what, nuclear fusion reactors from the craters, keep the Moon close to the Earth. Therefore the Moon is closer to the Earth at perigee, and at apogee is farther, because the reactors starts on one side of the Moon, and then on the other side, to keep it in its orbit.

The above images are video captures taken by me on 22/10/2010.

Most of conspirators gave as an exemple the crater Aristarchus, which they say, in certain periods is self illuminating, or has a light of its own, other than the sunlight. I photographed that crater many times (as are all images from the article), and is indeed really bright, but I think that is due to the impact, and because of the lunar soil brought to surface, probably containing a fluorescent substance or something else; or may be the meteorite itself which collided with the Moon was made by that substances, the latter idea being more likely, I think.

There are many craters with high albedo, such as Tycho, Byrgius, Stevinus A, and these are among the brightest of all. Unusual feature of Aristarchus has led some people to wonder what is going on, because it has a special color than other craters, a green-blue colour.

We can not deny that the high-resolution images, shows a normal crater, which is not covered by any dome. Those who made this conspiracy, will show you the crater Aristarchus in upside down images, so that we can create the optical illusion, and see that Aristarchus crater is not deep, but a dome, and this is not true.

Viewed in color, our natural satellite amazes us and eventually put our thoughts in question, if maybe the Moon is something else than we see with the naked eye. Let's Not lose our heads though, and enjoy the beauty of the Moon as it is, not as we Would like it to be.

Sunlight reveals the Moon is made of glass? Video and Images by my telescope

The colour of the Moon is a subject that a lot of us had maybe discussed. Most of the pictures with colours of the Moon I saw on the internet, have increased colours to show that the Moon is not grey. In the images below the Moon is not with increased colours at all, just with gamma decreased because the Moon was very bright.

What I find interesting, is that the color of the Moon is not seen if you get close to the surface, but only at the distance. And the more light from the sun, the more the colors intensify, making it coming alive in our eyes. It's like the Moon would be made by porcelain, or it's like looking at a radiography. This effect appears when you stick a lantern with very bright light on your hand, or exposing your fingers to sunlight. Those who have tried, know that they can see the outline of the hand bones.

What phenomenon is this, however, when the moon appears to be glass? Is it an illusion because of the sun? Or is this the real Moon? Maybe it is grey when we approach to it because we can't see the whole thing we are standing on. Anyway, I think this Selena is wonderful.

A full Moon shot at big exposure, can be a great advantage to highlight some color details that are not seen with the naked eye. After I filmed in october 2010 through my telescope, and I've begun to process the Moon video in Sony Vegas, I decreased gamma without increasing colours at all. I saw that the Moon has a different look. Because of the brightness of the sun, I knew that gamma range could be decreased much more, and it just came out this Moon, with colors and composition delimitation on the soil.

I do not know if I will catch in video the Moon just like that ever again.

Video is below, and the original post is here: OUR ROCK ON SPACE: THE MOON .

Below are video captures of the video.

Gamma correction and color of the lunar soil eastern seas of the Moon

Name: Gamma correction and the Moon seas
Photographer: Victor Lupu
Optics: Celestron C8-Newtonian telescope, plossl 20mm, 2x Barlow
Mount: CG5 (EQ5)
Device: Sony CX105 at 3x optical zoom
Total magnification: 300x
Focal diameter: 1"25
Filter: No
Date: 12/05/2011
Location: Baia Mare, Romania
Processing: video captures, FastStone Image Viewer

From these images I wanted to catch as many highlight contrast is observed on the lunar soil. And the most obvious differences in soil composition can be seen on the Mare Serenitatis and Tranquillitatis. Between the two there is a big difference between each soil composition. The border of this seas can be seen with the naked eye as Mare Serenitatis (or Sea of Serenity) consists of a different ground, lighter, than Mare Tranquillitatis (or Sea of Tranquillity), which has a darker color . This difference can not be seen unless you subtract the amount of gamma of the photo or video because the light blocks some details that the Moon has. And why say that?

Gamma correction in video or photo editing programs is the name of a nonlinear operation used to decode the brightness of an image either photo or video. In this procedure you can lighten a dark picture to get some details not seen in the original, or to darken the image too bright, to bring out details of a photo.

For example: shoot your hand in the sun with a camera. Insert picture in a photo editing program that has the option of correcting gamma. Decrease the level of gamma and you will see that the main veins of your hand are more obvious. That details were not visible even if you would decrease the normal brightness of the image. In these images of the article I decreased gamma. You will see that out of the blue, colors appear, that are undetectable in the original photo because it was too bright.

Unusual Moon

These moon photos processed in registax are quite unique to me because they have a special color and still not know how I managed to do so, especially the last one.I see colors in it even though I did not increased the apparent color. I dropped only gamma because the picture was brighter, as seen in the first photo.
Anyway I think it came a wonderful picture, and I enjoy it everytime I look at it.
