September 2016 Lunar Eclipse Pictures.

Yesterday in the evening sky took place an eclipse of the Moon in the penumbra of the Earth under a pretty good observation condition, considering the fact that before the start of the eclipse were many clouds that made me pessimistic trying to see the event, but the skies cleared immediately after the moon rose above the horizon by 9 °.

The effects of the eclipse are visible on the north-west of the moon.
I did not have access to my 8-inch telescope, but I had CX 130 Sony video camera and tripod to me to immortalize the event.
Below are video captures images of the eclipse.

The beginning of the eclipse: September 16, 19:54:42
Maximum eclipse: September 16, 21:54:20
The end of the eclipse: September 16, 23:53:59

The images below are captures of the partial eclipse of the Moon of 16 September 2016 made with no astronomical telescope, but with a video camera with the zoom at maximum 32x.

Partial eclipse of the Moon without a telescope. Video and images.

The above images, capture the partial eclipse of the Moon on 25 April 2013, pictures taken without an astronomical telescope, but with a camcorder zoomed to maximum 32x (optical zoom).

Below is the video from which I have extracted the captures above.

In the images, we see how the northwest corner of the Moon is "eaten" by the Earth's shadow, but in reality is a larger area is shaded, about half of the Moon, because if it was not so, the Moon would have the same luminosity as its east side.

Partial Lunar eclipse April 25, 2013. Images with Nikon D80 DSLR and the telescope

On the evening of April 25, 2013, I prepared my 8 " telescope, and installed on the balcony at 21:00.

It was a very beautiful and serene night, so I think I was very lucky as the weather was favorable for observations with, or without a telescope.

I've photographed the event before, during and after till 11:29 p.m..

I've replaced a few moments the Nikon camera, with the video camera Sony CX130 and I've filmed the Moon with zoom to see the shaded area and how craters looks in these conditions.

By 00:30 I was able to put the first DSLR photos of the event. In this article, I've posted the same photos with Nikon D80,  Exposure 1/500, but with a lower ISO of only 200, compared to the previous article photos, made with ISO 500.

It was my choice to photograph all the event by these two ISO settings: 200 and 500.

The images are in chronological order from 10:35 p.m. to 11:29 p.m..

An UFO next to the Moon appeared in my video. I hope I will make an article with this light this evening.

Lunar eclipse photos from 15 june 2011

These are the photos taken from last night with DSLR Nikon D80 and my Newtonian 8 " telescope .It was an spectacular eclipse.Until 10:40 p.m. the Moon was in the clouds that were moving very slow.My hope to see the Moon was lost. Then ,it came out I had no patience. The Moon rose above the night clouds and I started to take pictures with my DSLR Nikon D80, and to film it with Sony HD CX105 camcorder, I've switched the cameras from time to time, to catch as many moments I can.I stayed there until nothing was left but a small shadow in the corner of the Moon .Video captures of Luna can be seen in the link.
These are the photos from the eclipse.
