Crater Clavius shot by 8 "(203 mm) astronomical telescope. Atmosphere was acceptable,
7, in a ranking from 1 to 10. Image is inverted as seen through the telescope, so
keep this in mind when reading the article. Notice the beautiful arc of smaller craters that lies on the floor of Clavius. H
owever, this
crater lacks of features despite it's large size,
of 225 km.
Near it, to the west, is crater Blancanus which is in darkness,
and just inside the western edge is illuminated by the sun.
