        Montes Riphaeus (or Riphaeus Mountains) is an irregular range of mountains which are located along the western edge of Mare Cognitum northwest and south-eastern edge of Oceanus Procellarum.Montes Riphaeus shows a growing number of thin ridges with flows of lava-flooded valleys.
Riphaeus Montes is a mountain range 150 km in length that lies south of the crater Lansberg (39 km).
Under Riphaeus is an isolated crater which is called Euclides (12 km).
