Moretus crater is a magnificent crater, 114 km in diameter, but deformed into an ellipse. Its beautifully terraced walls and central mountain, nearly 7,000 feet tall, are very evident in appropriate conditions. The railing on the west side has a greater height above the floor, while on the opposite side, is lower.
