This video shows images of Sinus Iridium or the Bay of Rainbows, on its eastern part. Images are inverted so east is on west in the video.
The clip begins with the extended plateau Mare Imbrium, on which are two craters Helicon (25
km) and Le Verrier (20 km), at the top. Later on the second 28, appears Montes Rectum mountains that seem to resemble with a worm. There are two shades of color on Mare Imbrium, which means that there are two kinds of soil of different elements.
From minute 2, is a visible portion of Montes Jura, on which is are craters of different sizes. Maupertuis (46 km) and Condamine (37 km), are just two of them, larger.
East corner of the Sinus Iridium that comes up on Mare Imbrium, is called Laplace Promotorium.
